The head of the Ar Rahman Islamic Boarding School, K. Mohamad Muhsan, S.Ag., M.Pd.I was officially inaugurated as the Chairman of the Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) Rabithah Ma'ahid Islamiyah (RMI) Institute on Monday, January 26, 2026 by the Nahdlatul Ulama Regional Board (PWNU) of South Sumatra in the hall of the Ar Rahman Dzikir Council building.

The inauguration ceremony carried the theme "RMI and Islamic Boarding Schools as Pillars of Civilization, Maintaining Tradition, Strengthening Moderation" which illustrates the sincerity and commitment of RMI as an NU Institution to continue striving to develop Islamic boarding schools, especially those under the auspices of NU.
Kyai Muhsan, Chair of the RMI NU South Sumatra for the 2026/2030 period, stated in his remarks that Islamic boarding schools must always be strengthened as bastions of the Ahlussunnah wal Jama'ah faith and as centers for developing ulama (Islamic scholars).
During an interview with the Ar Rahman Media Team, Kyai Muhsan explained that RMI NU South Sumatra has numerous programs for Islamic boarding schools in South Sumatra, particularly those aimed at helping them become economically independent.
"RMI is committed to contributing to the institutions under its purview and to society at large," he emphasized.
