Ar Rahman Islamic Boarding School received an award as an Active Literacy School from the South Sumatra Provincial Library Service on Tuesday, February 10, 2026 at the Ceremonial Handover of Book Facilities and Launching of the South Sumatra Literacy Festival 2 in the Hall of the South Sumatra Provincial Library Service.

This award demonstrates MTs. Ar Rahman's commitment and commitment to continuously improving literacy levels for both students and the teaching staff.


The principal of Ar Rahman Islamic Junior High School, Ustadz Sahrizal, M.Ag, expressed his deepest gratitude to Allah SWT for the award as an Active Islamic Junior High School in the Field of National Literacy, organized by Nyalanesia and the South Sumatra Provincial Library Service. This achievement is the result of hard work and collaboration between the teachers and students of MTs. Pondok Pesantren Ar Rahman.

"We hope that in the future this will not only be a point of pride, but with this award we hope it will motivate the Madrasah, the teaching staff, and the students to always seek knowledge and love knowledge by reading, reading, and reading," he explained.

Meanwhile, the School Literacy Supervisor, Mam Setya (Red: nickname for Mrs. Setyawati MZ, S.Pd., M.Pd) said that this award had gone through a long process, starting from registration, short story writing training by Nyalanesia, selecting and sending written works, until finally the Literacy Peak Event which was held last November.

She mentioned that the Literacy Team of the Ar Rahman Islamic Boarding School, consisting of himself, Mrs. Linda, Mr. Rusli, Mr. Meki, and Mrs. Tri Mukti, guided the students of MTs. Ar Rahman in the process of writing short stories, including editing and correcting errors before the works were sent to Nyalanesia. Finally, a short story anthology book was published: THE SKY BEHIND THE DREAM by MTs. Ar Rahman Palembang.


"I'm delighted to see several students with hidden talents in writing that may have been left undiscovered due to a lack of a platform. This opportunity allows them to express their talents. I hope this program can broaden their horizons and foster a love of reading and writing," she concluded.
